Exam Details: VIT University exam date for VIT Engineering
Entrance Exam (VITEEE), is an entrance exam conducted by VIT University
for admission to B.Tech programs with specializations in Biotech,
Bioinfo, Biomed, Civil, CSE, ECE, EEE, EIE, IT, Mech, Mech (Energy),
Mech (Chemical), Mech (Auto), Production & IE offered at Vellore and
Chennai campuses for the commencing session 2013. The VITEEE will be a
computer based test conducted from 15th, April 2013 to 30th, April
2013.
About VITEEE: Vellore, a district capital in Tamil Nadu, has long been known for its stately fort and temple, renowned hospital and medical college, Parry's factories and the vast government industrial estate in nearby Ranipet. Vellore's history records several dynasties and powers. The Pallavas, Cholas, Pandyas, Hoysalas, Sambhurvarayars, Chalukyas, Vijayanagar, Bijapur Sultans, Mughals, Marathas, French and the British have all ruled the area at one point of time or the other. The twenty or more palaces and forts in the district reflect ancient styles and traditions. The most striking of these is the famous Vellore Fort, built in the 16th Century by Chinna Bommi Nayak of Vijayanagar. The fort was declared a national monument in 1992.
How to get the application Form:
1.) From the Post Offices mentioned in the Brochure or for Rs. 950/-.
2.) VITEEE 2013 Application Form can also be purchased ‘in person’ from the VIT Vellore and Chennai Campus by submitting a DD of Rs.950/- drawn in favor of VIT University payable at Vellore.
3.) The candidates can send a covering letter addressed to “Admissions Officer” VIT University, Vellore-632014 and DD of Rs. 950/- with their names, address and contact number on its backside requesting for the VITEEE 2013 Application Form. The form will be sent via post to such candidates.
4.) VITEEE 2013 Application Form can also be filled ONLINE for Rs. 900/-. The online forms will be available on the official website of VITEEE 2013 www.vit.ac.in.
Exam Pattern: VIT exam is a conducted in a multiple choice format with questions on a number of disciplines relevant to the particular entrance examination being conducted. Questions are usually of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology. The time duration allowed for completion of the VIT exam is 2 Hours 30 Minutes.
1.) Eligible candidate has to attempt any 3.00 parts only as indicated above. If any of the candidate attempt all the four parts, only the first three parts will be valued. The answered PART I–IV will not be considered for valuation.
2.) All the questions will be mostly from the State Board of Higher Secondary Education and the CBSE syllabus only.
3.) Each part has 40 questions and each question carries one mark.
4.) Each question is followed by 4 alternative answers.The candidate will have to choose the correct answer and shade against the appropriate choice in the OMR response sheet provided, strictly adhering to the instructions.
5.) NO negative marks for wrong answers.
